The aim of this accountability agreement is so that all parties involved have an agreed upon understanding of [a] explicity expressed expectations tied to desired results, and [b] the well defined consequences of meeting, exceeding or missing these desired results. This agreement offers prospectively defined, binding accountability so that when we choose to make our daily decisions, good or bad, it is agreed upon that the consequence of our action is ours to own and that there is, nor will be, any ambiguity, finger pointing or surprises in the end. How does your accountability cup look? This can be as magnificent as you choose to make it. Below we've offered our perspective on the driving values that has shped this philosophy on accountability. AttitudeThe potential for everything happens in the space that's created between stimulus and response. This space contains one of the most powerful forces in the universe, 'choice'! This is what drives the internal tipping point in people that ultimately determines ability in almost every capacity. Mavens, managers, mentors, fathers, friends... We are exactly the person that we choose to become, and the single most important character attribute that determines choice is attitude. It's attitude that shapes how we choose to act in the steps before, during and after those things that are within and beyond our control. It's in attitude that we choose to be pathcreators (innovators), pathfinders and path accepters. It's in attitude that we choose to live by the principles that give us the inward moral sense of what is what is right, and what is wrong, and what is possible! We are exactly the person that we choose to become. DisciplineIt's a 'no barriers' way of life. Everyone wants to be the best, but few and far between have the discipline to attain a renowned distinction. Amatures don't remain amatures because "the love of the game." It's just the opposite; they don't have what the pros have. Amatures don't have the discipline to drive their desire, they are not willing to pay any price. The Accountability Agreement
